SHORT DESCRIPTION
A ground-based laser scanner is a device used for high-speed scanning of terrain, followed by the representation of real objects in a proportional ratio, in the spatial coordinate system required by the user. The laser geodetic scanner operates on the principle of a rangefinder, directing a laser beam into the area selected for scanning, the intensity and radius of action of which are determined by the type of the task. By performing a scan, the user instantly receives results with a probability of error of only 5-10 mm.
